On top of the unit being very tough to break, the battery is high quality and lasts longer than most other vapes. One of the main features I like about my Solo is the unit’s durability as a whole. I say "as a whole" because the glass stem can fall out and break if you aren’t careful, but the unit’s main part is virtually unbreakable. The battery life has been further improved over the already impressive capacity of the original Solo and will easily last as many as 20 full sessions on each full charge. Charging is taken care of thanks to a mains charger that will charge the battery fully in less than three hours so no more waiting around for a slow USB charge. Once you’ve selected your glass tube of choice, you can pack up the mouthpiece with herb and start blazing. One minor downside to this unit is the holes in the bottom of the glass stem are too big for a fine grind and will leave you with some snacks in your mouth. The herbs are not packed in a chamber inside the device. The top compartment is where you place the herbs and grind them up. From there, it falls down into the lower compartment onto a screen. Any powder that comes through the screen is accumulated in the bottom compartment for convenient access.
Arizer made a bunch of great improvements on an already fantastic design, so we’d expect the Solo 2 to become a user favorite for years to come. That has the heat times of 3 minutes for the older brother and 30 seconds for the younger. Users that are looking for an even easier option tend to prefer devices like the Utillian 722 Vaporizer that has a single button operation.
Arizer actually prefer a bit looser to help with air flow, a tight fit is not necessarily ideal for vapor production. The Solo 2 is a big improvement over the original Solo, especially when it comes to the airflow. You really don’t get that milkshake type pull from the Solo 2, the unit heats up in 30 seconds, and the precise temperature control and increased temperature range are nice additions. If you have loved your Solo, you should be more than happy with the Solo 2. The glass stems / aroma tubes / mouthpieces on the Solo 2 have remained virtually the same as on the original . The Solo 2 comes with two different sized stems included.
